Biras Creek - Virgin Gorda

LOCATION
Biras Creek is located on a strip of land between two hills on a 140 acre peninsula on Virgin Gorda, on the the islands of the British Virgin Islands.

ACCESS
From North America: Fly into Beef Island Airport (EIS), Tortola via San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) or St. Thomas, USVI (STT). If you fly to St. Thomas, then you will need to arrange a short commuter flight to Virgin Gorda or take an inter-island ferry.
From Europe: Fly into Beef Island Airport (EIS), Tortola from Antigua (ANU), St. Martin (SXM) or San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU).
Once at Beef Island Airport, a Biras Creek representative will escort guests for the two minute drive to Trellis Bay where our private launch "Princess" leaves for the 30-minute journey to Biras Creek*.
When arriving into Virgin Gorda Airport, you will be met by the Resort taxi for a 20 minute drive across Gorda Peak to Gun Creek Harbor, then a 6 minute boat ride to Biras Creek.

SUITES
Wake up to the sound of waves rolling on the shell-strewn shoreline and enjoy coffee on your private verandah overlooking Bercher’s Bay Beach on the Atlantic side of the estate. The sunrises and sunsets often reflect a palette of colors on the sea to be enjoyed from the suites.
Suites have pillow-top king beds, unless twin beds (two single beds) are specified. Three interconnecting suites are available to make two-bedroom, two-bath suites.

HILLTOP RESTAURANT AND TERRACE BAR Located at the highest point on the property, Provides breathtaking views of the North Sound through its "open walls". In the evening, diners sit at candle-lit tables, looking out over the sunset, selecting from an award winning cuisine menu and an excellent selection of wines. Serving breakfast & dinner daily.
Before dinner enjoy a cocktail while watchign a perfect view of the sun setting into the North Sound.

BBQ LUNCH is served five days a week at the beach. The other 2 days, a light a` la cart bar/lunch menu is served at the Hilltop restaurant.

ARAWAK ROOM Traditional Afternoon Tea including Twinning tea, Nespresso coffee, freshly baked cakes, tarts, and scones.

FAT VIRGIN CAFE Located at the Biras Creek Marina, Highly recommended for having a snack or drink while sitting on the water front or browsing through the Gift Shop. Wireless access is also available for guests’ use at Fat Virgin’s Café.

WATER ACTIVITIES

BEACHES The beach at Berchers Bay is perfect for walking, reading and sunbathing. For swimming and water sport activities, the beautiful sheltered beach of Deep Bay is a 10 minute walk or short bicycle ride from the suites.

SWIMMING POOL The fresh water pool literally abuts the waves of the open sea on Bercher's Bay for a beautiful view from the lounges.

BOSTON WHALERS Available to guests for two hour excursions. Capable of taking up to three adults on exploratory trips around the protected waters of the Sound, the Whalers are the perfect escape to a private beach or a snorkeling haven.

SNORKELING The North Sound has many small islands and cays to explore along with some colorful snorkeling reefs. Masks, fins and snorkel gear are available for guests to use during their stay

WATER SPORTS INSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT Complimentary Kayaks, Lasers, Hobie Cats and windsurfers available. Complimentary sailing and windsurfing lessons.

LAND ACTIVITIES

BICYCLES All guests are given their own Caloi bicycle for exploring the spacious property and meandering trails during their stay. Please note that we drive or ride on the left in the British Virgin Islands!

HIKING Set amidst two hills and surrounded by three bodies of water, Biras Creek’s trails provide spectacular views of the entire property as well as panoramic vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sound and Deep Bay. Along the trails hikers will discover an abundance of diverse flora including cacti, wildflowers and mangrove forests. Experience resident wildlife including iguanas, birds and the pigmy gecko, the world’s smallest lizard which can only be found in the BVI.

TENNIS Two Omni tennis courts, as well as balls and rackets, are available for complimentary guest use.

TELEVISION Satellite television are available in the Arawak Room, plus a large selection of DVDs and Wii Games.

EXCURSIONS
In addition to complimentary activities, we can arrange day sails, scuba diving, snorkeling trips, sightseeing and shopping tours of Virgin Gorda, excursions to the famous Baths or the BVI out-islands of Anegada, Jost Van Dyke and Cooper Island.
